K9 Quilt of Honor® Honoring Military, Law Enforcement and Fire Search & Rescue Working K9s.
A K9 Quilt of Honor® recognizes Law Enforcement, Military K9s, and their handlers for the willingness to serve our community, our country and stand in harm’s way to help keep us all safe. A “K9 Quilt of Honor” is presented when a K9 retires from service, injured or is lost in the line of duty.
The “K9 Quilt of Homor started with Kobi, a K9 deputy, who retired in Indian River County, Florida at the height of the pandemic and when law enforcement was having challenges in June of 2020. Carolyn felt someone needed to share with Deputy Kobi and Sgt. Bryan (handler) that there were people who still respected and valued their service. She continued to celebrate the K9 and their handlers thru out central Florida. So, the birth of the “K9 Quilt of Honor” began.
Since 2024, “K9 Quilt of Honor” has been presented in 25 States and three (3) Country: United States, Canada and one was sent to Australia to honor the Military working K9s. The quilts went to local, state, and federal assets working hard their whole career to keep us safe.
In 2024 we added a “Equine Quilt of Honor” and had the opportunity to honor a retiring soldier from the US Army who was on the Commending General’s Mounted Color Gard, Ft. Riley, KS.
“K9 Quilt of Honor” and the Equine Honor Quilts – Quilt Kits and K9 Panels are now available online at Etsy. Honor your Law Enforcement (local, state and national), Military, Fire and Search & Rescue Working K9s for their great work.
